New patients
Your first visit, start to finish.
Sixty minutes, one on one. Here is exactly what happens, so you know what you are walking into before you book.

The NERV Origin
01
Before you arrive
When you book, Jane emails your intake forms automatically. Fill them out beforehand. Every minute spent on paperwork in the office is a minute off the table.
Wear something you can move in. You will be bending, rotating and loading through the hips and spine during the exam, so gym clothes work better than jeans.
Bring any imaging or reports you already have: MRI, X-ray, notes from another provider. If you have none, that is completely normal. Most people arrive without any.
02
The history
The visit starts with conversation, and it is not a formality. When the pain started. What makes it worse and what makes it better. What you have already tried, and what happened when you tried it.
The pattern in those answers usually narrows the problem before anyone puts a hand on you. It is also where you say what you actually want back: sleeping through the night, lifting again, sitting through a workday, getting back on the bike. That target shapes everything that follows.
03
The exam
Then the testing. Movement screening, orthopedic testing, neurological testing and strength assessment, run through the painful region and the joints above and below it.
The entire purpose is to find the source. Pain in one spot can be driven by a nerve, a joint, a disc, a muscle, a ligament, or a strength deficit somewhere else entirely, and each of those needs a different treatment. Guessing wrong is how people spend months not getting better.
By the end of the exam you will know which structure is generating your symptoms, and why it started in the first place.
04
Hands-on treatment, the same day
You get treated on the first visit. There is no coming back a second time just to begin.
What the treatment looks like depends entirely on what the exam found. Soft tissue work to release the tissue holding the problem in place. Adjusting where the joint calls for it. Cox flexion-distraction when a disc or nerve is involved.
If there is time left, we start your stretches and exercises in the room, so you leave knowing how they are supposed to feel rather than guessing from a page. If we run out of time, they carry into your next visit.
05
The plan
Before you walk out you get a straight answer: what is driving this, what it needs, roughly how many visits it should take, and what you should expect to feel and when.
Not an open-ended package sold at the front desk. A projection you can hold us to, revised honestly as your findings change.
06
What you take home
Your home program arrives by email: written PDFs and short videos of the exact movements, so you are not trying to reconstruct from memory what something looked like three days ago.
The work you do between visits is most of the difference between people who resolve and people who keep coming back. It is usually a handful of movements and a few minutes a day.
You leave knowing what is wrong. Not just that something is.
